AGENT BIOGRAPHY
Monroe was raised in White Plains, New York
and came to Boston to attend Northeastern University
where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Later he was awarded a Master's degree in
Community Health Administration from Hunter
College. Monroe
had worked as an administrator and clinician in the health and human service
sector for twenty years before switching to Real Estate. His first exposure to Real Estate was in 1980
when he bought his first property and he has been "hooked" ever since.
Monroe was first affiliated
with Pleasant Realty in 1996 where he focused on the Jamaica Plain, Roslindale,
Hyde Park, West Roxbury and Mission Hill
areas. Being a resident of Jamaica Plain
for more than 30 years, he has taken leadership positions at the First Church
in Jamaica Plain and at Habitat for Humanity-Boston where he received the
Golden Hammer Award for his volunteer work creating affordable housing. Additionally, he enjoys educating first time
buyers and has taught the Realtors module for the City of Boston, first-time buyer's classes. Monroe
lives on Moss Hill with his wife, Mary, and their daughter, Molly. He is affiliated
with McCormack and Scanlan Real Estate.
